Alibaba Cloud's AI Catalyst Program gives selected AI startups up to 2 billion free Model Studio tokens and up to $120,000 in cloud credits, plus POC coupons, 1:1 office hours with Alibaba Cloud AI experts, and 12 months of Alibaba Cloud Academy access. Applications go through a public online form, and Alibaba Cloud says successful applicants are notified by email within 4-5 business days. Eligibility per the program FAQ: an unlisted company founded within the last 10 years with an accessible website, AI as its core technology, and a written plan for using Alibaba Cloud AI tools; accounts under resellers or distributors are not eligible. Both figures are "up to" caps set at Alibaba Cloud's discretion, credits cannot be used on domains, CDN, Alibaba Cloud Academy, Marketplace, or prepaid products, and the linked startup credits terms page still lists a campaign period ending 31 March 2026, so get your award amount confirmed in writing before you plan against it.

How to apply

5 steps
  1. Create an Alibaba Cloud international account at alibabacloud.com and copy your Alibaba Cloud ID. The form asks for it and will not accept a blank.
  2. Get two things ready: a live company website, and a public URL to a deck that explains how AI is the core technology in your product. Also decide your estimated monthly spend in USD on AI resources, which the form asks for.
  3. Open https://www.alibabacloud.com/en/startup/ai and click "Apply now", or go straight to the form at https://survey.alibabacloud.com/uone/sg/survey/Ki6nZZ5hr
  4. Fill in company name, website, HQ location, Alibaba Cloud ID, your AI use case, estimated monthly AI spend, deck URL, your name, business email, title, mobile number, and the name of a referring VC if you have one. Submit the form.
  5. Watch the business email you entered. Alibaba Cloud may email asking for more information, and says it notifies applicants within 4-5 business days.
