Braintrust is an LLM evaluation and observability platform for testing prompts, catching regressions and tracing agents, used by Stripe, Notion, Vercel, Replit and Instacart. The startup program gives any new customer with at least $100K in funding six months of the Pro plan free, and twelve months to companies funded by a partner VC firm (Accel, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Y Combinator) at Series A or earlier. Braintrust publishes no dollar value for the program, so the $1,494 figure is derived: six months at the listed Pro platform fee of $249 per month, with the twelve-month tier working out to $2,988. Pro includes $100 of model credits, 5 GB of processed data and 50k scores per month, so usage beyond those allowances is still billed on top.

How to apply
5 steps- Go to https://www.braintrust.dev/startups and click Apply now.
- Fill in the form: full name, work email on your company domain, and company website. The referral source field is optional.
- Check you qualify before submitting: you must be a new Braintrust customer, at Series A or earlier, with at least $100K raised.
- If one of your investors is Accel, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins or Y Combinator, name them in the form or email [email protected], since that moves you from six months to twelve.
- Submit and wait. Braintrust approves on a rolling basis and applies the Pro plan to your existing account, so sign up for the free Starter plan first if you have not already.
