GPU instances excluded; credits valid 6-12 months

Eligibility & conditions

Civo runs a three-tier startup program giving cloud credits on its Kubernetes and compute platform. Launchpad gives up to $1,000 for early-stage teams, Propel up to $10,000 for teams with traction, and Elevate up to $50,000 for startups scaling; Civo assigns the tier, the applicant does not pick it. The program runs 6-12 months depending on the accepted stage, and Civo states there are no additional costs or fees. The credits cover core cloud services such as standard compute, storage and managed databases, and Civo's FAQ states that GPU instances are not included in the credit allocation, so this is not a GPU credit despite Civo selling GPU instances.

How to apply

5 steps
  1. Open https://www.civo.com/startup-program and check the three tiers: Launchpad (up to $1,000), Propel (up to $10,000), Elevate (up to $50,000). You apply once to the program, not to a specific tier.
  2. Click the "Apply to join the Civo Startup Program" or "Apply today" button. It opens Civo's HubSpot application form at https://2dlshk.share-eu1.hsforms.com/2OWx8o45gQh640sYnozCZTQ. Do not use the "online application form" link in the FAQ, it points at a page anchor that does not exist.
  3. Fill in the basic company details the form asks for. Civo states the program is open to startups in any industry, with a focus on teams building cloud-native applications, so describe your stage and traction, since that is what decides your tier.
  4. Submit and wait for Civo's team to review. Civo confirms the tier, the credit amount and the term, which is 6-12 months depending on the stage you are accepted into.
  5. Before planning spend, size your workload against non-GPU services. Credits apply to standard compute, storage and managed databases. GPU instances are excluded, so a GPU workload has to be paid for separately.
