Eligibility & conditions

The Anthology Fund is a $100 million initiative created by Menlo Ventures in partnership with Anthropic to support the next generation of AI startups. It invests in early-stage to growth-stage companies building AI-first products and infrastructure, typically starting from around $100K per investment, and focuses on teams leveraging Anthropic’s technology to build impactful applications across industries like healthcare, education, and infrastructure (Anthropic). Selected startups also receive access to Anthropic’s models (including Claude), along with credits, guidance, and direct support from both Anthropic and Menlo’s network (Effective Altruism).

Eligibility is competitive and geared toward startups actively building AI-native products, typically from pre-seed to Series A stage. Strong preference is given to teams with clear use cases for AI and technical depth, especially those integrating or planning to use Anthropic models. Applicants usually need to demonstrate real progress, a scalable idea, and the ability to leverage AI meaningfully, with final selection based on overall team quality, product potential, and alignment with the fund’s focus areas (Crunchbase News).
