Eligibility & conditions
Depot is a build acceleration platform covering Docker image builds, managed GitHub Actions runners, its own CI engine, a registry and a shared build cache. The startup offer is $5,000 in usage credits that apply to the plan fee on the Developer or Startup plan and to all usage on top of it, including container builds, CI runners, Registry and Cache. The credits are valid for one year starting the day the code is applied at checkout, and are for new Depot customers only. Depot does not run its own application form, so the credits are claimed through a partner program: AWS Activate or PostHog for Startups, with a separate Y Combinator route for YC companies.

How to apply
5 steps- Pick your route first. Depot issues these credits only through partner programs, which its own pricing FAQ confirms at https://depot.dev/pricing under 'Do you offer credits for startups?'. There is no application form on depot.dev.
- Route A, AWS Activate: open https://startups.aws.com/offers and find 'Depot for Startups ($5,000 in credits)'. The offer page at https://startups.aws.com/offers/depot is gated, so sign in with an AWS Activate account to see the claim button. The listing is flagged easy apply.
- Route B, PostHog: apply to PostHog for Startups at https://posthog.com/startups from a PostHog account on your company email domain. You must be under 2 years old, have raised under $5m, and have signed up to PostHog on or after Jan 1 2023. Personal gmail or outlook addresses are rejected. Approved startups get the Depot partner code by email.
- Create a new Depot account at https://depot.dev/start. The credits are for new Depot customers only, so do not apply the code to an existing paying organization.
- Pick the Developer or Startup plan in organization Settings or from the billing banner, then paste the partner code at Stripe checkout. Redemption steps are documented at https://depot.dev/docs/posthog-for-startups. The credit runs for one year from that checkout.
