It is open to students at accredited high schools, colleges and universities enrolled in a program of one or more years of full-time study, verified by university email, ISIC/ITIC card, GitHub Student Developer Pack or an official document. The AI part is only a 30-day JetBrains AI Pro trial, which may ask you to add a payment method, after which you move to the AI Free tier. How to apply
6 steps- Open the JetBrains Student Pack application form, select "I'm a student" and pick a verification method: university email address, ISIC/ITIC membership, official document or GitHub.
- Enter your country or region, level of study and university email address, plus your full name as it appears on your legal ID, then submit the form.
- If your university email is not accepted, submit your school's email domain to the SWOT repository JetBrains uses for verification, or apply with an ISIC/ITIC card, GitHub Student Developer Pack or an official document instead.
- Once verified, log in to your JetBrains Account, download the IDEs you need, and sign in with the same account when the IDE prompts you, to activate the license.
- To try the AI features, open the AI Chat tool window in the IDE and click Start Free Trial. The AI Pro trial lasts 30 days and may ask you to add a payment method, then you move to AI Free.
- Renew each year with the renewal link in your JetBrains Account or in the reminder email JetBrains sends two weeks before the pack expires.
