Full-time students 18+ at accredited colleges, school email required

Eligibility & conditions

Microsoft's Azure for Students gives full-time students aged 18 and over at accredited two-year or four-year degree-granting institutions $100 of Azure credit to use within 12 months, plus free monthly amounts of popular services, with no credit card needed. You verify with your school email, you can hold one subscription per person, and you can renew it each year while you are a student; Microsoft lists Azure OpenAI among the services the student account can use. The credit cannot pay for Azure Marketplace offers, support plans, third-party branded products or other separately licensed products, and once it is used up the subscription is disabled unless you contact Azure Support to move to pay as you go. Microsoft says activations are in limited supply and the offer runs only while supplies last.

How to apply

5 steps
  1. Go to Azure for Students and select Start free.
  2. Sign in with a Microsoft account and verify your student status with your school email address.
  3. Confirm that you are 18 or older and a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year degree-granting institution, then accept the offer terms.
  4. Use the $100 credit within 12 months on most Azure services. It cannot pay for Azure Marketplace offers, support plans or separately licensed products.
  5. Renew the subscription each year while you are still a student. If the credit runs out, the subscription is disabled until you contact Azure Support to move to pay as you go.
