Eligibility & conditions
Tinybird is a managed real-time analytics backend built on ClickHouse, used to turn streaming and batch data into low-latency API endpoints. Its Open Source Program gives maintainers "80% off any Tinybird Developer Plan for the first 6 months" and then "20% off any Tinybird Developer Plan in continuum for eligible projects", both quoted from the program page. The Developer plan is listed at $49/month on Tinybird's pricing page, so the first 6 months come to about $235 off the base plan price before usage overages. Accepted projects also get Slack support with a Tinybird Growth Engineer, integration and migration help that the page marks as best-effort with no SLA, a featured blog post and founder interview, and swag.

How to apply
5 steps- Check eligibility before applying. Tinybird requires source code hosted on a public git provider, active contributions within the last 30 days, at least 25 GitHub stars or the equivalent on another provider, and that any commercial or hosted version uses the same open core code.
- Open https://www.tinybird.co/open-source-program and go to the "Apply now" section on that page.
- Fill in the form: first name, last name, email, company name, repository link, and what you are building. Tick the boxes for the Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.
- Submit and wait for Tinybird to review. The discount applies to the Developer plan, which lists at $49/month, so plan for the discounted amount plus any compute overage at $0.0002/second.
- If accepted, ask your contact to set up the Slack channel with a Growth Engineer and to schedule the blog post and founder interview, which the page lists as part of the program.
